BREAKING: Acting IGP, Kayode Egbetokun Assumes Duty As Baba Alkali Hands Over

The Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has officially assumed office as the 22nd police boss.

The former IGP, Usman Baba Alkali, officially handed over to Egbetokun today, Wednesday, during a Handing/Taking Over Ceremony of the Inspector-General of Police at the Louis Edet House, Force Headquarters, Abuja.

Recall that Egbetokun was decorated on Tuesday at the State House by Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Kanyi Daily reported that Egbetokun was appointed acting IGP by President Bola Tinubu alongside the new service chiefs on Monday night.
