Tinubu’s jet arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at 05:05 pm on Tuesday.
The president was welcomed by a crowd of supporters who have been waiting at the airport for him.
This concludes his one-week trip to Paris—where he attended a summit for A New Global Financing Pact hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron—and London, for a private visit.
Reports say the presidency had on Saturday disclosed that Tinubu canceled his planned return to Abuja that day.
“Tinubu, who was initially scheduled to be back in Abuja on Saturday, will now proceed to London, United Kingdom, for a short private visit,” a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Dele Alake, read.
The statement did not however state the specific day the president would return, reports had quoted sources in the presidency that Tinubu would return to his private Ikoyi home in Lagos later on Tuesday to observe his first Sallah celebration as President.
Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has led a section of pilgrims in prayer during the ongoing Hajj in Saudi Arabia.
Taking to his Facebook page, the governor shared photos from the Hajj on Tuesday.
