KanyiDaily had reported how Portable narrowly survived a car accident that damaged his newly acquired G-wagon, with the front section completely destroyed beyond recognition.
In a video circulating on social media, a mechanic could be seen advising Portable to sell the car for scrap because fixing the extensively damaged front section of the SUV would be a futile and costly endeavor.
The mechanic, who filmed the wrecked car which he claimed is a “write-off”, suggested that the singer should take the G-Wagon to Ladipo, a major metal scrap market in Lagos.
“Sell your G-wagon as scrap at Ladipo Market so they will use it as spare Parts, The Whole G-wagon is a complete write off, The Engine of the G-wagon has been affected by the accident, to repair it is almost impossible,” he said in part.
Outraged by the invasion of privacy, Portable had the mechanic arrested and brought to a police station, as shown in another video circulating online.
At the police station, the mechanic was informed about the defamatory nature of his actions and was required to publicly apologize to the singer.
In his apology, the mechanic claimed that he was unaware the car belonged to Portable and expressed remorse for any inconvenience caused by the circulating video.
The mechanic explained that the car was brought to his company for repairs, and he had given his honest opinion based on its condition. He emphasized that he did not give consent for any videos to be taken or shared without his knowledge.
He said, “A car was brought to my company for a repair and I gave my honest opinion based on what I saw. It has come to my knowledge that the car belongs to Zazuu, which is Portable.
“Another thing is that I have been seeing videos flying around that was taken without my consent. I am using that opportunity to say, Zazuu we are sorry for any inconvenience the video has caused you”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Portable recently slammed his colleague, Seyi Vibez for mocking him about his recently acquired G-Wagon and for his lack of class.
