Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Special Duties, Communication, and Strategy, Dele Alake, announced the upcoming broadcast in a statement on Monday, July 31.
He called upon all broadcast and electronic media outlets to connect with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria for live coverage of the address.
The statement reads, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 7 pm.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
The agenda for the broadcast is not yet known as of press time but it might not be unconnected to the economic pain experienced by Nigerians amid the removal of subsidy on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) known as petrol.
KanyiDaily recalls that President Bola Tinubu recently urged Nigerians to remain resilient in the face of the challenges caused by the removal of fuel subsidy.
