It was gathered that during the concert on Saturday night, Wizkid flung his expensive ring into the crowd while attempting to toss his jacket to enthusiastic fans at the Tottenham Stadium in London.
The value of the lost ring is estimated at an astonishing £100,000, equivalent to around N99.5 million in Nigerian currency.
British-Nigerian podcaster, Adesope Olajide, who disclosed this during an Instagram live session, expressed his regrets over his inability to catch Wizkid’s precious ring when he threw it to the crowd.
Adesope mentioned that he had previously managed to catch the rings of artists like Zlatan Ibile and Diamond Platnumz at their concerts, but failed to retrieve Wizkid’s own during the show.
He said, “Why did I leave that front [row at Wizkid’s show] when that ring was about to fall? Ah! I have caught Zlatan and Diamond Platnumz’s rings before. These are thousands of pounds and dollars. Obviously, the Wiz ring, that would have been the one. I’m honest. I could sell it for like £100k”.
KanyiDaily had also reported how Wizkid was dragged down on stage by some fans during his live performance held at Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
