Nollywood Stars Attend Late Saint Obi’s Candlelight Service [Photos/Video]

Nollywood stars came together on Friday to commemorate their late colleague, Obinna Nwafor, who was popularly known as Saint Obi, during his lifetime.

KanyiDaily reported how Saint Obi died at the age of 57 after a prolonged illness on May 7, 2023, at the house of his sibling on 13 Metropolitan Street in Tudun Wada, Jos, Plateau State.

Last week, the late actor’s family announced his funeral arrangement, revealing that the burial ceremony is scheduled to take place on August 18 in their hometown, Umuezealaeze, Alaenyi Ogwa, in Imo State.

On Friday, August 11, prominent figures in Nollywood dedicated their time to orchestrate a poignant candlelight service, as a heartfelt tribute to the departed actor.

This event, marked by a blend of solemnity and touching sentiments, unfolded in Lagos State. A procession commenced from Oriental Hotel and culminated at Civic Centre, situated on Ozumba Mbadiwe Street in Victoria Island.

Photos and videos that emerged captured the presence of renowned Nollywood figures including Segun Arinze, Ejike Asiegbu, Emeka Rollas, Victor Osiagwu, and numerous other distinguished personalities.
