Actor Alesh Sanni Scolds Nigerians Teargased After Mohbad’s Candlelight Procession

Nollywood actor, Alesh Sanni has criticized Nigerians who were teargassed by the police after the candlelight procession of late singer, Mohbad, at Lekki Toll Gate in Lagos State.

KanyiDaily had reported how mourners who attended Mohbad’s candlelight procession fled in panic after police used tear gas to disperse the crowd.

Reacting to the outrage trailing the incident, Alesh Sanni argued that the event was intended as a candlelight procession, not a protest, and thus people should not have gathered at the tollgate.

He wrote, “You guys missed the point of this whole thing!!!! This is Candle Night and not Protest!!

“The initial walk that was supposed to replace the Protest was cancelled just becos of something like this… This is candle night and not protest!!!! I said it .. we do too much why abeg”

KanyiDaily recalls that OAP Dotun and activist Rinu Oduala also engaged in a heated exchange over the police tear gas at Mohbad’s candlelight procession.
