“He Lived In Constant Fear And Struggled Till Death” – Mohbad’s Wife Reveals

Omowunmi, the wife of Nigerian musician, Mohbad, has revealed how the late singer lived in constant fear and struggled until his death.

KanyiDaily had reported that Mohbad died at the age of 27 on Tuesday, September 12, and the sad news was confirmed on social media by music executive Ovie.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Omowunmi revealed that Mohbad had been struggling and was worried after seeing their baby because he was concerned about their safety as a family.

She said that Mohbad had urged her to collect their baby’s passport for their planned travel, emphasizing that he wanted them to be safe and was willing to face his problems alone.

The mother of one highlighted the hardships Mohbad faced during his life including constant fear and confrontations, and was often labeled negatively by the public.

Omowunmi believes that these public judgments contributed to his suffering. She lamented that the judgments have now left her a widow at just 24 years old, invoking the hope that Mohbad finds peace in the afterlife.

She wrote, “Nothing makes him happy no more, even after seeing his baby he became more worried, he’s now a family man he doesn’t want anything to happen to us…

“I was supposed to collect my baby’s passport yesterday so we could process our travelling, he always says to me… Wunmi pls go for my baby’s sake, I wouldn’t want these people to harm you and him it will break me… You just go, let me face them myself. Ilerioluwa rest in peace… You really need that peace,”

“This Nigga struggled till death, too many pains, threatening (sic). He had always lived with fears, continuous fights everywhere he goes too, he has never been happy for a whole day…

“He was called a junkie, a mad person, mental issue so the public would have another view about him… he’s dead at least you all won, take your trophy. Ya’ll made a widow at 24 years 🥹 Olorun idajo re daaa (sic),”

KanyiDaily recalls that Mohbad’s girlfriend, Omowunmi also lamented that their baby, Liam, is only five months old, and she doesn’t know where to begin without the singer.
