In a post shared on her Instagram page, Iyabo Ojo acknowledged that she’s not perfect, has never claimed to be, and doesn’t aspire to be, stressing that for her, being authentic is more than enough.
Despite facing backlash, the actress declared her determination to continue speaking her truth, regardless of the negative narratives, hate, and criticisms directed at her.
Iyabo emphasized her preference to live as a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who advocates for justice. She acknowledged that criticism and even hostility are inevitable, but she’d rather face them than remain silent.
Noting that her focus extends beyond personal reputation; the mother of two stated her commitment to wanting a better Nigeria and a safe environment for children.
Iyabo Ojo, who described herself as “The Queen Mother with her black bonnet”, believes that this duty starts with individuals, urging others not to remain silent.
She wrote, “I’m not perfect………. Never said I was, never said I would. Just being me is more than perfect for me,
“I will continue to speak my truth no matter the narrative they draw about me, no matter the hate, the witch hunt……..
“I would rather die a fearless, bold, and courageous woman who speaks & fights for justice, bcos death at the end is inevitable.
“I want a better Nigeria and a safe environment for our dear children & that duty starts from you and me, we can’t all be silence……… The Queen Mother with her black bonnet”.
KanyiDaily recalls that self-proclaimed journalist, Kemi Olunloyo recently slammed Iyabo Ojo and Tonto Dikeh, over their involvement in Mohbad’s burial arrangements.
