Chike Calls Out Chioma Ochibili For Allegedly Defrauding Him Of $20,000

Nigerian singer Chike has accused a woman identified as Chioma Nneoma Ochibili of allegedly defrauding him of a large sum of money.

The singer shared the claims in series of posts on his X page on Monday morning, explaining that he invested $20,000 in a business idea Ochibili presented to him.

According to him, he believed the proposal at first, but eventually realised the arrangement might have been a scheme.

Chike said he later discovered that the venture was not real, stressing that he may not be the only person who has been affected.

The singer questioned why she would deceive him and accused her of living off money collected from others under the guise of business opportunities.

He also claimed that thousands of dollars were involved in the situation, including his own $20,000.

The artiste admitted he felt disappointed after discovering the truth, adding that he now looks back and laughs at himself for trusting the deal.

“Chioma Nneoma Ochibili, so you are a thief?” Chike asked.

“That’s how they do. They will tell you they are doing certain business. Her business is to survive on your money.

“$50,000 in the air. $20,000 of my hard-earned money I didn’t see either. How do I find out this late that I’m just another person she has duped? Even me I dey laugh myself.”

Chike also made it clear that the main problem was not just losing money but the fact that the supposed business did not exist.

According to him, that makes the situation a case of fraud rather than a failed investment.

“Do not get distracted. The focus is not about the amount of money. I understand how one can easily get distracted by that but $20k is not all the money in the world thankfully,” he wrote.

“Whatever business chioma sells to you is not the issue . The big issue here is that the business does not even exist which then equates to fraud . Also, you will not be the 1st.

“These tweets are also not about fund recovery. I am well on the way to making sure that’s done regardless of Chioma’s gimmicks.

“These tweets are for those who are capable of giving her such amounts. I am hoping you see this.

“If you know chioma like i have come to know her, though late, then you will understand that doing any sort of business with her is at your own risk.”

At the time of filing this report, Chioma Nneoma Ochibili had not publicly reacted to the allegations.
