KanyiDaily had published a video showing how Brain Jotter met with Eniola, a street hawker and makeup artist, and decided to offer assistance by transferring N400,000 to the hawker’s account.
Subsequently, popular Instagram blogger, Gistlover, alleged that the hawker was a man named Sultan posing as a woman to deceive people for financial gain.
“Nigerians fell for this scam and it is sad. To set the record straight, according to the group of people that helped the said disabled lady before, na man, his name is Sultan, he disguises as a woman,” the blogger wrote.
“Last year, a group of people came together and rented an apartment for him, they bought him make up tools to establish him but he prefers to be on the street deceiving people.”
Expressing disappointment, Brain Jotter lamented the deception, considering similar occurrences where others had supported the hawker with substantial amounts of money in the past.
The comedian wrote, “If I tell you say I no tire, I dey lie. Just negodu. Bro deceived us all. Some people have helped him with over 600k before. He lied!! He is a MAN!!”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Davido also faced criticism after retracting his pledge to assist a physically challenged hawker who turned out to be a man.
