In an interview with Punch Newspaper, Ilebaye opened up about various aspects of her life and elaborated on her intentions for the prize money.
She said, “With my prize money, I want to establish an orphanage. I also want to start a business, and invest in some other things. But right now, I am just taking everything one step at a time. I am also still thinking of the perfect business to do and how to invest my money wisely.”
Following her victory on October 1, 2023, Ilebaye disclosed her plan to build an empire called Gen Z Baddie. The idea of opening an orphanage aligns with her broader vision for her newfound success.
At the age of 22, Ilebaye finds herself navigating a new level of popularity, and during the interview, she candidly shared her struggle with handling the pressure associated with her sudden fame.
She acknowledged the need to be mentally prepared for the challenges that accompany the spotlight and emphasized her focus on maintaining a low profile, adapting to circumstances, and looking ahead to her future.
“Before I went into the BBN house, I told myself that l had to be mentally ready for everything that would come. I just have to keep things on the low and be able to adapt to whatever comes my way.
“Besides, I see anything that comes my way as what is expected. It is left for me to overlook things, including clashes and backbiting, and just focus on my future,” she added.
KanyiDaily recalls that Ilebaye Odiniya recently responded to critics by sharing a video where she confidently used a dollar bill as a tissue to wipe her eyes.
