Mr Ibu’s Ex-Manager Confirms Police ‘Arrested’ Actor’s Sons And Daughter, Jasmine

Emeka Chochoo, the former manager of actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, has revealed why police arrested the actor’s adopted daughter, Chioma Jasmine, and two sons, Daniel and Val.

KanyiDaily recalls thaf actress Doris Ogala claimed that Jasmine and Mr Ibu’s sons were apprehended and are currently being detained at the Force Criminal Investigation Department Annex, Alagbon, Lagos.

Ogala alleged that Jasmine transferred N300 million from Mr Ibu’s account, prompting the actor’s wife, Stella Maris, to order their arrests.

The actress said that Stella Maris wants to use the funds intended for her husband’s treatment to purchase a new house.

However, investigations reportedly indicated that the contributed funds for Mr Ibu’s treatments did not reach N300 million.

In a telephone conversation with a correspondent on Thursday, Chochoo clarified that the three individuals were invited by the police regarding Mr Ibu’s account.

Mr Ibu’s former manager emphasized that it should not be termed as an arrest, describing it as a police invitation.

He said that Val, one of Mr Ibu’s sons, was excluded from the situation as he was unaware of the ongoing events, having recently returned to the country.

Emeka Chochoo expressed difficulty in reaching any of them at the time.

Yes, they were all invited by the police. I won’t call it arrest; the police invited them over Mr Ibu’s account. However, Val is left out as he knows nothing about what’s been happening. He just returned to the country.

“I have not been able to reach any of them,” Chochoo said.

Stella Maris, when contacted for comment on the allegations, declined to provide any statement, stating, “Please, I do not want to say anything about it, please,” before ending the call.

Efforts to reach Jasmine proved unsuccessful as of the report’s filing.

Meanwhile, social media influencer, VeryDarkMan has urged Nigerians to stop donating money to Mr Ibu, warning against unintentionally enriching the family through the ongoing contribution process.
