Gunmen Open Fire on Abuja Highway, Abduct Man And His Wife While Driving Home

A man identified as Abdullahi Sabo has been abducted with his wife while driving him in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.

Acoording to Daily Trust, Sabo and his wife were en route to their residence when armed assailants intercepted their vehicle at Sabon-Lugbe, Airport Road in Abuja.

The unfortunate incident unfolded this afternoon as Sabo was driving his Ash-colored Lexus Jeep, bearing registration number ABC 769 TP.

Upon leaving the city center and heading home, the attackers, traveling in an unmarked Golf car, opened fire and punctured the tires of Sabo’s jeep.

Daramola Joseph, one of the victim’s neighbors, confirmed Sabo’s abduction during a telephone conversation with a reporter.

They shot the tyres, forcing the vehicle to stop, but before they could get close to the jeep, the man’s wife had escaped. However, they went away with the husband,” he said.

The incident occurred as the couple was returning from the city center, heading towards the access road to Jedo Estate when the gunmen executed the attack.

Despite attempts to obtain information, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command, SP Adeh Josephine, had not provided details at the time of filing this report.

KanyiDaily recalls that the FCT Police Command yesterday confirmed the arrest of Chinaza Phillip, suspected to be a notorious kidnapper causing terror in the nation’s capital.
