EFCC Nabs 36 Suspected Internet Fraudsters in Ogun

The Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has apprehended 36 individuals suspected of engaging in internet fraud in Ogun State

On Monday, February 26, 2024, at the Gbokoniyin and Yetedo areas of Abeokuta, Ogun State, 36 suspected internet fraudsters were apprehended by operatives of the Ibadan Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The arrests were made based on actionable intelligence gathered and worked upon by the commission

Items recovered from the suspects include nine exotic vehicles, 14 laptops, 49 mobile phones, and other incriminating documents.

The suspects will face court charges upon the conclusion of investigations

Kanyi Daily recalls that many students from the Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) had reportedly been arrested by officials of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
