Debo Ologunagba, the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, formally announced this in a statement on Thursday.
The statement read, “The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed a prominent Party women mobilizer, Hon. Amina Divine Arong from Cross River State, as the Party’s new National Woman Leader.
“The PDP congratulates and tasks the new National Woman Leader to deploy her capacity and experience in working with other members of the National Working Committee for the continuing stability, growth and success of our great Party”.
The post became vacant following the death of the former National Woman Leader, Prof. Stella Effah-Attoe, who passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2023.
The party has lauded Amina Arong for her steadfast commitment to the party’s advancement.
They specifically highlighted her leadership in mobilizing women and youth groups across different levels, along with her significant contributions to the organization of party primaries in various parts of the country
