Tonto Dikeh Tackles Peter Obi Over His Borehole Projects In Some Northern States

Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh has criticized the former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over the quality of his borehole projects in Northern Nigeria.

During the Ramadan fast, Peter Obi visited various Northern communities, broke fast with them, and provided basic amenities they lacked.

Some of these communities required access to water, prompting Obi to drill boreholes for them.

However, the quality of these boreholes has sparked debate, with some Nigerians arguing that they were poorly executed and unsuitable for commissioning by someone of Obi’s stature.

Taking to her Instagram page, Tonto Dikeh expressed her disappointment with Peter Obi’s actions and questioned his commitment to uplifting the country.

While acknowledging Obi as one of her favorite politicians, the actress emphasized the importance of speaking truthfully for the greater good of Nigeria.

Tonto Dikeh urged Obi’s supporters to acknowledge the issues raised, emphasizing the need for collective effort in advancing the nation.

She stressed the importance of actions over sentiments in driving Nigeria forward, asserting her dedication to supporting the government while holding it accountable for shortcomings.

The actress wrote, “His Excellency sir with all due respect @peterobigregory am deeply disappointed by this. The idea that Nigeria was almost entrusted to you, sir, is disheartening.

“This isn’t trolling; I’m genuinely dissatisfied with your actions. I’m in disbelief. Were you truly committed to taking this country to the next level?

“This situation highlights the need for all of us to join hands with Mr President @officialasiwajubat and actively contribute to the nation’s progress.

“It’s not a task for one person alone; it requires the dedication of all. YOUR EXCELLENCY, Mr. Obi, I am profoundly let down. Despite that, you remain one of my favorite politicians.

“However, I believe in speaking the truth directly because I love you, but I love Nigeria even more”.

KanyiDaily recalls that Tonto Dikeh had expressed a deep sense of duty to honor Nigeria, whether in challenging times or moments of triumph.
