“We Arrested DJ Commissioner Wysei, Not DJ Switch” – Police Clarifies

Lagos State Police Command has apologized over a misunderstanding surrounding the arrest of a Nigerian disc jockey, Obianuju Catherine Udeh, also known as DJ Switch.

Reports on Thursday morning alleged that DJ Switch was arrested and taken to the magistrate court in Eti Osa on charges of assaulting female officers in connection to a fraud case.

However, Lagos Police Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, took to his X (formerly Twitter) handle on Thursday to clarify the situation and extend apologies.

Hundeyin stated that the person arrested was actually “DJ Commissioner Wysei,” not DJ Switch as earlier reported.

He wrote, “There is a mixup from our end. The arrested person is DJ Commissioner Wysei, not DJ Switch.

“Apologies for all the inconveniences to a few media outfits like Linda Ikeji, BBC and TVC that I gave confirmation this morning. Apologies to DJ Switch too.”

KanyiDaily recalls that DJ Switch recently criticized Pastor Enoch Adeboye for constantly urging Nigerians to pray for the country.
