“Nigerians Don’t Understand My Music, They Only Appreciate Me” – Tems [Video]

Grammy-winning Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has shared her thoughts on how Nigerians receive her music.

Speaking with popular YouTuber Korty EO on the recent episode of her show, Flow with Korty, Tems opened up about her life and music.

The singer, who is planning to release her debut album, said she feels recognized but is unsure if Nigerians fully understand her music.

According to her, she doesn’t think Nigerians understand her music, but she does feel personally appreciated by the audience.

When asked if she feels appreciated by Nigerians and if they truly understand her music, Tems said: “Understand, no. I don’t know if they appreciate my music but I feel appreciated as a person by Nigerians.”
