Joan Onyemaechi, who is also a former Delta State Commissioner for Technical Education, was freed late Friday night.
It was gathered that the former lawmaker arrived in the Delta State capital and went to an undisclosed hospital.
Earlier, the kidnappers had demanded a ransom of N1 billion, but it’s unclear if that amount was paid for her release.
Delta State Police spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, confirmed her release but didn’t provide further details.
