“Ebi O, Ebi O (Hunger)” – Woman Joins Protest Carrying Empty Pot In Lagos [Video]

A woman was seen crying out from hunger during a protest on Thursday against the widespread hardship in Nigeria, which has sparked nationwide demonstrations.

The woman, visibly upset and with tears in her eyes, carried an empty pot on her head, drawing attention from the hundreds of protesters around her in Lagos.

She expressed her intense hunger, with many people moved by her plight.

Speaking in Yoruba, she repeatedly said, “Ebi o, ebi o,” meaning “hunger, hunger.”

As planned, protests erupted across Nigeria on Thursday, with people in several states demonstrating against the country’s hardships, while some states saw major roads deserted.
