While INEC officials arrived late, eager voters had been at the polling unit as early as 7 AM. Security personnel and journalists were also seen waiting for the process to begin.
Asue Ighodalo had voiced his dissatisfaction with the late arrival of electoral materials at his polling unit, Okaigben Ward 1, Unit 3.
The PDP governorship candidate, speaking to reporters after arriving at the center at 10:30 AM, also criticized the arrest of prominent party leaders in Uromi, Esan North East LGA.
