A statement released on Tuesday by CONYL’s leaders, including President Goodluck Ibem, Secretary Junard Abubakar, Public Relations Officer Iniobong Sampson, and Publicity Secretary Adeyemo Adewale, indicated that this support was decided during a recent meeting.
The group noted that they carefully evaluated the impressive leadership of President Bola Tinubu during his time as governor of Lagos, which helped transform the city into the “Center of Excellence.”
They believe that Seyi, as the son of President Tinubu, will build on his father’s successes and exceed them in his governance.
The statement highlighted that the choice of governor is crucial due to Lagos’s importance to Nigeria, as it has always been a welcoming place for all citizens.
The group said: “Nigerians youths came to this conclusion because Lagos State has been a home for all Nigerians and who becomes the governor of the state is pivotal given the role the state has played since the inception of the country.”
CONYL emphasized that Lagos needs a young leader with innovative ideas and experience, qualities they believe Seyi Tinubu possesses, having proven his capabilities in previous roles.
They also encouraged the president to listen to the call from Nigerian youth to give Seyi Tinubu a chance to demonstrate what young people can achieve when given the opportunity.
The statement added, “Seyi Tinubu is gifted, qualified, experienced, well-read and capable to lead Lagos State to the promised land come 2027.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Seyi Tinubu recently expressed his strong belief that his father, President Bola Tinubu, is the leader Nigerians have been eagerly waiting for.
