Pastor Bolaji Idowu Breaks Silence After His Arrest Over Alleged N1.5bn Fraud [Video]

Pastor Bolaji Idowu, the Lead Pastor of Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC), has addressed allegations linking him to real estate fraud and money laundering.

Reports surfaced on Tuesday claiming that Pastor Idowu was arrested by the Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID) in Abuja over alleged involvement in fraudulent real estate activities.

A police source later disclosed that Pastor Bolaji Idowu regained his freedom following interventions from influential Christian leaders.

During Wednesday’s morning prayer session, Pastor Idowu directly responded to the accusations, asserting his innocence and clarifying his position.

He categorically denied any involvement in real estate dealings or receiving substantial funds, such as billions of naira, into his accounts.

In his words, “Over the last 24 hours, there’s been a lot of news about me on social media, about this and about that.

“I just want to state some facts clearly. I heard that number one, I was involved in real estate. I do not and anyone that has contrary evidence can produce it.

“I do not have any property in Nigeria. The only property I have in Nigeria was one that my late parents bequeathed to me. There is no property that I have bought or have in Nigeria.

“Secondly, I do not sell or buy properties. I am not in that business. Someone said I received billions into my account. My accounts are public accounts, you can go and check if I have ever received billions into my account.

“There are just a lot of things ongoing in the press but this is not a forum to address it. I want to thank all of you that showed a lot of love. Thank you for doing that.“
