After sharing a video of her breast milk on Instagram, one follower commented that it looked like diluted milk and claimed that breast milk usually has a yellowish hue.
Another troll wrote, “That thing you brought out is formula not breast milk. Breast milk is a bit yellowish.”
Ivy Ifeoma quickly responded on her Instagram story, educating the commenter and clearing up the misunderstanding.
She said, “Some of you guys in the comments aren’t bright. When did all humans become the same? Do you know that the color changes over time? The ‘yellowish’ one is colostrum-infused.”
Paul Okoye’s wife also questioned if the critic was a mother and expressed her frustration with misleading comments that can confuse new mothers.
Ivy explained that breast milk’s color varies, especially in the early stages when colostrum, the first nutrient-rich milk, is produced.
The new mom, who recently welcomed her baby, concluded by advising, “Don’t knock what you don’t know and don’t confuse new/expecting mums.”
