The founder of Diary of a Naija Girl, who married content creator Frank Itom in April 2025, said she had no issue feeding her husband during their ceremony but was not comfortable kneeling while doing so.
Agoro explained that she does not agree with the practice where brides are asked to kneel to serve their husbands at weddings.
She made it clear that although she fed her husband cake on their big day, she chose to remain standing.
According to her, she would rather be honest about her stance than follow a tradition she does not believe in.
“I don’t like it when you go for a wedding and they tell the bride to feed her husband kneeling down.
“I fed my husband cake, but I didn’t kneel. I don’t want to be a hypocrite. I can’t kneel,” she said.
Her comments have generated mixed reactions, especially among Nigerians who see kneeling as a sign of respect in marriage.
While some insist tradition should be preserved, others feel couples should decide for themselves how they express respect in their relationship.
Meanwhile, veteran actress Shaffy Bello has opened up about her current views on love, relationships, and marriage, saying she’s no longer interested in dating younger men.
