Speed Darlington Released On Bail By Court Ahead Of Christmas, New Year Celebrations

Nigerian rapper, Speed Darlington has been released on bail ahead of Christmas and New Year festivities, following three weeks in detention.

KanyiDaily recalls that Speed Darlington was arrested by the Nigerian Police in Imo State after singer Burna Boy filed a petition against him.

This followed an earlier arrest related to his controversial comments about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and alleged ties with American rapper, Diddy Combs.

On Monday, December 23, Speed Darlington’s lawyer, Stan Anieke announced his release on his Instagram story, though he did not provide specific details about the terms of the bail.

Akpi (Speed Darlington) has been granted bail by the court,” Stan Anieke wrote.

The announcement has sparked joy among fans, who have been eagerly waiting for the rapper’s release and looking forward to his return to the music scene.

KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian police were reportedly pressuring Speed Darlington to record a public apology video for Burna Boy.
