Gospel Singer, Paul Nwokocha Reportedly Divorces His Second Wife After Two Years

Nigerian gospel artist, Paul Nwokocha has reportedly parted ways with his second wife, Goodness Nwokocha, just two years after their wedding.

According to reports, Goodness’ family has returned the bride price, signaling the official end of their marriage.

Nwokocha, who married Goodness in September 2023—just a month after his split from his first wife, Alice Nwokocha—had previously expressed his unconventional views on marriage, saying he believes in “for better, for better” rather than “for better, for worse.”

His first marriage allegedly ended due to alleged conflicts over food, with claims that Alice refused to cook for him.

It was gathered that the recent marriage crisis began in May 2024 when Goodness reportedly started facing mistreatment in her marital home.

Allegations suggest she was treated more like a domestic worker than a wife, leading to increased tensions in the marriage.

Additionally, it was revealed that Goodness had no prior relationship with the singer before their marriage.

Sources say Goodness had relocated from Lagos to marry him at the insistence of his uncles, without conducting any background checks.

With the bride price now returned to Paul Nwokocha’s family, the marriage has been formally dissolved.

Efforts to reach Paul Nwokocha for his comments on the matter were unsuccessful, as he did not respond to calls or messages.

KanyiDaily recalls that Ghanaian gospel singer, Ohemaa Mercy recently justified her divorce from Mr. Twum-Ampofo, saying God gave her permission to divorce her husband.
