Marcus Rashford Completes Loan Move To Aston Villa After Leaving Manchester United

English striker, Marcus Rashford has joined Aston Villa on loan, marking his departure from Manchester United.

The 27-year-old striker completed his medical on Sunday evening after deciding to move to Villa Park, having fallen out of favor under United manager, Rúben Amorim.

The club confirmed the signing, stating: “Aston Villa is delighted to announce the loan signing of Marcus Rashford from Manchester United.

‘The England international, capped 60 times by the Three Lions, joins Villa on a deal until the end of the season. Welcome, Marcus!’

Rashford also shared his excitement on his Instagram page, thanking both clubs for facilitating the move.

He wrote: “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.

“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision – I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers’ ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started.

“I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season,” Rashford added.

United acknowledged his departure on their website, stating:
“Everyone at Manchester United wishes Marcus good luck for the rest of the season.”

The deal is a loan until the end of the season, with Aston Villa having the option to sign Rashford permanently for £40 million.

Villa will cover 70% of his wages, and the agreement includes performance-related bonuses based on their progress in European competitions and Champions League qualification.

KanyiDaily recalls that Manchester United were previously considering using Marcus Rashford, for a swap deal with Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan at Galatasaray.
