The drama began when Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy gifted Okechukwu $30,000 amid an ongoing rift with Cubana Chief Priest.
Bethel Okechukwu later used the money to start a business, sharing his progress in a video that received widespread praise.
However, Cubana Chief Priest whose real name is Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, clarified that Bethel is actually his cousin, not his biological brother.
In a recent interview, Bethel expressed regret for any negative remarks he made about Cubana, explaining that his actions were never meant to cause harm.
He explained that his goal was simply to get Cubana Chief Priest’s attention and seek his support in furthering his music career.
Reflecting on the struggles of breaking into the industry, Bethel Okechukwu said, “What I had in mind doing that video is just to get your attention for you to pity me and help me musically.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Burna Boy also promised to relocate a Kenyan woman, alleged to have a child with Cubana Chief Priest, to Nigeria.
