Police Arrests Eight Suspects Over Cult-Related Killings In YABATECH

Lagos State Police Command has arrested eight people linked to a series of cult-related killings at Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) and the surrounding areas.

The arrests took place on April 29, 2025, following an intelligence-led operation by Tactical operatives.

The suspects are Adeyemo Abdulsamad (24), also known as Cloud, Afeez Enitan (28), Ayomide Daniel (30), Olamilekan Adeagbo (26), also called Skinny, Mayor Samson (28), Basit Ishola (20), Quadri Sikiru (26), and Mariam Salihu (23).

Police recovered several items from the suspects during the operation, including a Beretta pistol, four 9mm rounds of ammunition, a cartridge, two battle axes, and two cutlasses.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, confirmed the arrests and stated that investigations are ongoing to uncover the full details of the suspects’ involvement in cult activities.

He assured the public that the suspects will face the law for their actions.

This comes just days after a YABATECH student was shot and killed after finishing his exams last week.
