Terry Apala Gives VeryDarkMan 48 Hours To Delete Alleged Defamatory Post

Nigerian singer Terry Alexandar Ejeh, better known as Terry Apala, has taken legal action against social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly called VeryDarkMan, over alleged defamation.

In a recent video, VeryDarkMan accused DJ Tunez, an associate of Afrobeat superstar Wizkid, Terry Apala, and DJ Osas of being questioned by the EFCC and allegedly paying bribes to the agency.

In his response, Terry Apala, through his lawyers, sent a formal notice to VeryDarkMan demanding that the video be taken down and a public retraction be made within 48 hours.

The musician called the claims false and said he had not even been in the country at the time, warning that if the activist failed to comply, legal action would follow.

Apala explained that he spent several months abroad—observing Ramadan and later performing in South Africa—making the accusation baseless.

He also accused VeryDarkMan of using his name to gain attention while spreading misinformation that could harm not only his image but also the credibility of the EFCC.

He added that the accusation is especially troubling because it’s being shared without any proof, and he called for a public correction to protect his reputation and that of the EFCC.

The letter partly reads, “I want to state clearly that this bribery allegation is a total lie and has no basis in reality, especially recently. I have never bribed anyone, nor have i been involved in any kind of financial corruption with any organization or individual, whether public or private”

“It troubles me that this unfounded accusation is been spread around without proof. It needs to be publicly refuted quickly to protect the integrity of the EFCC and to clear my name from this unfair connection.”

With the 48-hour deadline now ticking, many fans and observers are waiting to see how VeryDarkMan will respond.
