Chris Brown Arrested And Charged In UK Over Alleged Assault At London Club

American R&B singer Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm with intent in the United Kingdom.

According to London’s Metropolitan Police, the charge is linked to an alleged attack that happened at a nightclub in central London on February 19, 2023.

Chris Brown, charged with one count of causing grievous bodily harm, was said to have assaulted a music producer in a London nightclub.

The 36-year-old was arrested on Thursday morning at a hotel in Manchester. He is still being held and is expected to appear at Manchester Magistrates’ Court on Friday.

Adele Kelly, deputy chief crown prosecutor for CPS London North, confirmed the charge under section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861.

She noted that legal proceedings are now underway and emphasized that Brown is entitled to a fair trial.

We have authorised the Metropolitan Police to charge Chris Brown with one count of grievous bodily harm, contrary to section 18 of the Offences Against the Person Act 1861“, said Adele Kelly.

According to The Sun, the singer arrived in the UK on Wednesday, flying into Manchester Airport by private jet.

Chrus Brown is currently on tour and is set to perform at multiple venues across the UK in June and July.

KanyiDaily recalls that Chris Brown recently filed a $500 million lawsuit against a film studio, Warner Bros, over a documentary released last year which included accusations of sexual assault.
