KanyiDaily recalls that on Friday, NAPTIP declared Speed Darlington wanted over allegations of rape, cyberbullying, and cyberstalking.
NAPTIP urged anyone with information about his location to contact the agency immediately.
Reacting during an interview with Saturday Beats, Speed Darlington said that he’s not bothered by the announcement.
The rapper, who insisted that the NAPTIP has no right to declare him wanted, explained that his lawyer is already aware of the situation and will be handling it.
He said, “Thanks for the heads up, but I’m not worried. They have no right to declare me wanted. My lawyer has already sent it (the ‘wanted’ posted) to me. They just want to embarrass themselves. My lawyer will handle it.”.
NAPTIP’s public notice came nearly a month after the singer failed to respond to an invitation for questioning at the agency’s headquarters on May 30, 2025.
KanyiDaily recalls that the invitation followed Speed Darlington’s claim during an Instagram live session that he had sex with a 15-year-old girl.
