It was gathered that the incident happened shortly after he paid a condolence visit to the family home of late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura.
A statement released by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, said the governor did not suffer any serious injuries and is in stable condition.
Mohammed, who also said that Governor Radda is in good spirits and thankful to God for protection, appreciated the people of Katsina and others who reached out with prayers and concern.
“We are pleased to confirm that the Governor is in good health and stable condition, with no serious injuries sustained,” the statement read.
“Governor Radda remains in high spirits and expresses his gratitude to Almighty Allah for His protection, as well as Katsina citizens and well-wishers for their prayers and concern.”
Not long after the statement was issued, the governor appeared in a Facebook video posted by his media aide.
Speaking in Hausa, Governor Dikko Radda confirmed he’s fine but still receiving some medical attention. He also thanked the public for their support and prayers.
