Missing Ogun Teenager Found Dead Without Vital Organs – Police

Ogun State Police Command has launched a full investigation into the disturbing murder of a 16-year-old boy, Lawal Wahab, whose body was found mutilated along Old Express Road in the Igbile-Ijebu area.

Lawal Wahab had been living with his grandmother when he went missing earlier this month. His father, Lawal Olumide, reported his disappearance to authorities.

It was gathered that the boy’s decomposed body was discovered on July 23, 2025, after locals alerted the police.

When officers arrived, they found that several parts of his body, including his head, both wrists, heart, and genitals, had been removed, raising strong suspicions of ritual killing.

A statement by the police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, said, “Acting on credible intelligence, officers from the Omu-Ijebu Division swung into action and arrested suspects Salaeu Omikansola,25 and Serefusi Agemo in connection with gruesome murder of their victim.”

Odutola said one of the suspects confessed voluntarily during questioning, and the confession was captured on video.

She added, “The deceased, who had been staying with his grandmother, was declared missing by his father, Mr. Lawal Olumide.

“Tragically, on July 23rd, 2025, his lifeless and decomposed body was discovered along the Old Express Road, Igbile-Ijebu.

“A preliminary examination revealed that the head, both wrists, heart, and genitals had been gruesomely removed—suggesting ritualistic motives”

The police said that due to the condition of the remains, Wahab was buried shortly after the body was recovered, following Islamic burial rites.

Odutola confirmed that the case has now been handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Eleweran for further investigation.

She also revealed that efforts are ongoing to track down additional suspects who may have been involved but are currently on the run.

The police are urging members of the public to stay vigilant and to report any suspicious activity or persons to the nearest station as investigations continue.

KanyiDaily recalls that police recently arrested a man, Amos Daniel, also known as “Gambit,” for allegedly killing his girlfriend inside a hotel room in the Ayobo-Ipaja area of Lagos state.
