In a viral interview, the singer admitted he never imagined the track would turn out to be the biggest song on his album.
Davido explained that after more than a decade in the industry, he was already considering stepping back from the spotlight, but the success of the song renewed his drive and passion for music.
Reflecting on his career, he expressed gratitude for still being able to deliver a major hit 14 years after starting out, pointing out that many artists either achieve such success early in their journey or much later.
“We thank God. 13 or 14 years after for me to have this kind of song, people have this kind of song at the beginning of their career or in the middle. Me that was even getting ready to bow out then God gives me this kind of song. He definitely added more life to it,” he stated.
KanyoDaily recalls that Davido recently surprised his wife, Chioma, with a brand-new 2025 Mercedes-Benz G580 EQ SUV.
