Her appointment, which takes effect immediately, was announced on Tuesday by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike.
According to the statement, Sabanti Nathan will serve in an acting capacity until a substantive Head of Service is officially appointed.
Nathan takes over following the death of Grace Adayilo, the former FCTA Head of Service, who passed away last Monday.
Before this new role, Nathan was the Permanent Secretary of the Youth Development Secretariat at the FCTA.
She had also previously worked as Director of Finance and Administration in the office of the FCT Minister before rising to the position of Permanent Secretary.
The statement reads, “Sabanti Nathan Appointed FCTA Acting Head of Service
Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan, mni, has been appointed as Acting Head of Service of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
She was appointed in an acting capacity, pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service.
Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan was appointed as a result of the death, last week Monday, of Mrs Grace Adayilo, the FCTA Head of Service.
Until her appointment, Mrs Nancy Sabanti Nathan, was the Permanent Secretary, Youth Development Secretariat of the FCTA.
She had served as the Director Finance and Administration in the office of the Honourable Minister of FCT before her appointment as Permanent Secretary. The appointment takes immediate effect.”
