KanyiDaily recalls that Trump stated that Christianity in Nigeria was under serious threat, accusing radical Islamist groups of carrying out mass killings of Christians.
He said the United States could not remain silent while such violence continued and pledged support to protect Christian communities around the world.
Reacting to the announcement on Saturday via her X handle, Nicki Minaj said the news reminded her to be thankful for the freedom of worship in her own country.
The rapper also spoke against the global rise in religious persecution, urging people not to overlook human rights abuses happening elsewhere.
She wrote, “Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God.
“No group should ever be persecuted for practising their religion. We don’t have to share the same beliefs in order for us to respect each other.
“Numerous countries all around the world are being affected by this horror & it’s dangerous to pretend we don’t notice.
“Thank you to The President & his team for taking this seriously. God bless every persecuted Christian. Let’s remember to lift them up in prayer.”
