The incident came to light after Facebook user Dr. Paul Ezikel shared a video of the altercation on Monday morning.
It was gathered that the clash happened aboard a United Nigerian Airline flight departing from Asaba, Delta State.
According to witnesses, VeryDarkMan was in seat 4, while Mr Jollof sat a few rows behind in seat 7 when the tension first erupted.
Passengers said VeryDarkMan stood up, approached Mr Jollof, and confronted him, allegedly reminding him of a previous threat.
“Sebi you say if you see me, you go slap me? Slap me make I see,” he said.
Mr Jollof reportedly dismissed him and told him to return to his seat, which he eventually did.
But minutes later, VeryDarkMan walked back to him, repeating that Jollof “must slap him,” continuing to provoke him while Jollof kept quiet.
The situation boiled over when Mr Jollof finally rose and slapped him.
VeryDarkMan immediately hit back, sparking a full-blown fight in front of shocked passengers.
Cabin crew members and other travellers rushed in to break them apart.
Those on board said they initially thought the two were joking until the confrontation turned violent almost instantly.
VeryDarkMan later confirmed the fight in a video posted to his Facebook page, claiming he overpowered Mr Jollof.
He also alleged that Jollof bit him during the scuffle.
“I don chop Jollof father for inside plane. He bite me, man wey de bite,” he said in a video.
KanyiDaily recalls that both men have a long history of online feuds, which intensified after VeryDarkMan accused Mr Jollof’s wife of sleeping with internet fraudsters, a claim that escalated their rivalry.
