Lack Of Quality Men May Leave Many Women Without Marriage Partners – Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo has raised concerns about the growing shortage of responsible and capable men.

The pastor shared his thoughts on X, saying he is worried that the number of men who can be considered “quality” is decreasing.

According to him, this could leave many women without suitable partners for marriage.

He said the difference between the standard of women and that of men is becoming more obvious, making it harder for women to find men who are ready to lead and commit to marriage.

The cleric noted that many men today, in his view, lack the qualities needed to marry and support the women of this generation.

Pastor Kingsley Okonkwo said, “Ladies and gentlemen we have a crisis!

“I’m very concerned about the quality of men out there these days…

“I stand to be corrected but it seems the gap between men and women in terms of quality is widening, it’s getting harder to find solid men.

“Alot of men I see can’t lead or marry the women of this generation.”

Okonkwo also spoke about different types of marriages, pointing out that cultural marriages have been the most common in Africa.

He explained that this model worked in the past because many women had limited access to education and employment, and men often married much younger women, which made traditional expectations easier to maintain.

However, he said times have changed because women are now more educated and independent, and age gaps are smaller, creating new challenges for men who have not developed themselves enough.

“The cultural is more common with Africans and it thrived in the past because women were not given so much access to education and most didn’t work, men also largely married with long age difference to make submission easier …..all of the above have changed, so it’s a tougher scenario for the men of this age.

“Alot of women might not see eligible men to marry because of the shortage of quality men,” he said.

Meanwhile, Nigerian rapper, Erigga has spoken out against polygamy, saying the practice only causes pain for women and children.
