President Tinubu Stumbles, Falls During Reception Parade In Turkey [Video]

President Bola Tinubu briefly stumbled and fell on Tuesday during a ceremonial parade held to welcome him in Türkiye.

The incident occurred at the parade ground while Tinubu was inspecting a guard of honour alongside Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

A video circulating online shows the Nigerian president walking next to his host before losing his balance and falling.

Security personnel quickly moved in to assist him, and he was back on his feet almost immediately.

Although the moment caused a brief pause, the event continued as planned without further interruption.

As of the time of filing this report was filed, the Nigerian presidency had not released a statement on the incident.

President Tinubu is in Türkiye on an official visit aimed at strengthening diplomatic ties between both countries and identifying new areas of cooperation.

During the visit, he is expected to hold bilateral discussions with President Erdoğan on trade, security, investment, and regional partnerships.

The trip will also include the signing of several agreements and other high-level engagements between Nigeria and Türkiye.
