A controversial cleric known as Alpha Olopa Meta claimed that Saheed Osupa would die on January 10, 2026.
He also said he had prayed to God on the singer’s behalf and advised him to buy a large ram for special prayers.
Osupa addressed the prophecy during a live performance on Sunday, January 11, 2026, a day after the predicted date had passed.
The Fuji star described the cleric as fake and cautioned both known and unknown enemies, including those close to him and around his neighborhood, against speaking death over his life.
He said anyone who wished him dead would face the same fate instead.
Osupa said, “Fake Alpha and prophet please don’t wish me dead. Everyone who wishes me dead will die in my place.
“Close enemies, unknown enemies, enemies of my career and the ones in my neighborhood, better don’t wish me dead, or you would die before me.”
KanyiDaily had reported how a Nigerian singer, Portable, was arrested by police in Kwara State over a petition filed by Saheed Osupa.
