According to the charge sheet, he and others, who are still at large, allegedly planned on February 1, 2026, in Oka Akoko, Ondo State, to commit the offence of procuring an abortion. This act violates Section 516 of the Criminal Code.
On the second count, Ogedengbe was accused of unlawfully giving drugs to Marvellous Orogbemi, a 16-year-old girl, sometime in January 2023, intending to cause an abortion. This is against Section 228 of the same law.
His lawyer, G.O. Omoedu, asked the court to grant bail on generous terms, assuring that Ogedengbe would not flee.
The Magistrate, R.I. Adelakin, approved bail of N1 million with two sureties.
