Justice Crack was remanded on Monday over alleged cybercrime related to a viral video about the Nigerian Army.
The DSS arraigned him before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik on three-count charge bordering on the alleged circulation of false information and publication of materials capable of causing public unrest.
Mark was reportedly arrested by the Nigerian Army over the weekend.
He is accused of posting a viral video and comments on his X (formerly Twitter) account, @JusticeCrack, claiming that Nigerian soldiers are not being properly fed.
One of the charges against him read, “That you, CHIDIEBERE JUSTICE MARK, adult, male, of Plot 88 Sabon-Lugbe, Abuja, on or about the 28th day of April, 2026, in Abuja, within the jurisdiction of this Honorable Court, did circulate information to the public through your social media handle @JusticeCrack, regarding alleged inadequate feeding of Nigerian Army personnel, which you know the said information to be false but posted it for the purpose of causing annoyance, ill will, and hatred, especially among the citizens who hold divergent views and thereby committed an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 24(1) (b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc) Act, 2015, as amended.”
In the second charge, the DSS said he shared the video and related statements online, which caused negative reactions and could lead to fear or a breakdown of peace.
The third charge accuses him of trying to commit a felony by posting what was described as insulting content about the Nigerian Army.
The authorities claimed the post also caused widespread negative reactions that could lead to fear and unrest, which goes against the Criminal Code.
After the charges were read, the judge adorned the case until May 25, 2026, when the trial will begin and a possible bail request may be considered.
The court also ordered that Justice Crack be remanded in DSS custody until the case is decided.
