Desmond Elliot Obtains Nomination Form for Fourth Term In Lagos Assembly

Nollywood actor turned politician Desmond Elliot has picked up the All Progressives Congress (APC) nomination form to contest again for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Surulere Constituency I.

In a statement shared on his Facebook page, Elliot informed residents, party members, and supporters that he is seeking another term in office.

He said the decision is part of his ongoing commitment to serve his constituency.

My dear good people of Surulere Constituency 1, I greet you all with profound respect and gratitude.

“I wish to formally inform all Surulereians, workers, residents, political associates, leaders, stakeholders, and the good people of Surulere, that I have obtained the nomination form to seek a return mandate to the Lagos State House of Assembly, representing Surulere Constituency 1,” he said.

According to him, the decision to run again is driven by his desire to continue projects already started and to further improve development in the area.

Desmond Elliot said, “This decision is borne out of a continued commitment to serve, to consolidate on the progress we have made together, and to further advance the collective aspirations of our people.”

He also called on his supporters to remain peaceful and focused throughout the political process, urging them to avoid conflict and maintain unity.

“I urge all my supporters to remain calm, steadfast, and focused. Let us continue to uphold peace, unity, and respect as we move forward in this political journey together,” he said.

The lawmaker explained that returning to the House would make him a senior member, which he believes would help bring additional advantages to his constituency.

May I state here that my going back makes me automatically a ranking member and loads of benefits come to our constituency as a result of this feat,” he said.

Elliot thanked party leaders, political stakeholders, and community members for their continued support and promised to keep working with them if re-elected.
