Speaking on an episode of The Honest Bunch podcast, the rapper argued that when a woman is financially stronger than her partner, it may affect her willingness to be submissive in marriage.
Speed Darlington also claimed that some wealthy women only act submissive to secure a relationship.
He said, “You cannot tell me that a woman that is worth multi millions will be submissive to her husband.
“I don’t believe that. Power does not like to submit. I am not very rich but I am still proud of the little I have.
“Now, imagine a wealthy woman who has house in Lagos and in the village, she definitely can’t be submissive. she can say that to just get married but deep down, she will never be submissive.”
Darlington also warned that relationships could face tension if a woman earns more than her partner.
The rapper encouraged men to work towards being financially ahead to avoid such conflicts.
“There will be issues if your woman makes more money than you as a man. It is going to be a problem.
“Try your best as a man to not allow your woman to be richer than you. If she does, she will be aggressive and never be submissive,” he claimed.
He added that he personally prefers a partner who is supportive and willing to play a more submissive role, rather than someone highly independent and wealthy, as he believes the latter could turn the relationship into a competition instead of a partnership.
KanyiDaily recalls that Speed Darlington recently announced that he is ready to pay ₦5 million to any woman willing to have a child for him.
