Sergio Ramos Completes Sevilla Takeover, Becomes New Club Owner

Former Barcelona captain Sergio Ramos is set to become the new owner of Sevilla FC after reaching a final agreement with the club’s major shareholders.

According to ABC de Sevilla, the agreement was completed on Tuesday following several rounds of negotiations between both parties.

The deal involves Ramos’ investment company, Five Eleven Capital, and the current leadership of the club.

While some legal and administrative procedures are still being finalized, the major disagreements have already been resolved.

A decisive meeting took place on Monday and included Ramos, his family members, legal representatives, and members of Sevilla’s shareholder group.

Sources said the discussions ended positively, allowing the takeover process to move forward smoothly as both sides worked toward ensuring stability for the club’s future.

An official announcement is expected soon once the final legal documents are completed.

Football journalist Fabrizio Romano also confirmed the development on his X account, stating that Ramos has completed the process of acquiring Sevilla.

Romano disclosed that Ramos’ brother, René Ramos, played a major role in handling the negotiations and overseeing the entire process.

BREAKING: Sergio Ramos complete the process to buy Sevilla and become new club owner.

” The deal is in place with his brother René leading the process too.

“Waiting for official and formal steps with laywers before statement,” the post reads.

Although the complete financial details of the agreement have not yet been made public, reports suggest the takeover is almost fully completed, with only final formalities remaining before confirmation.

Sevilla holds special importance for Sergio Ramos, as it is the club where he started his professional football career in 2002 after progressing through the academy system.

The Spanish defender later joined Real Madrid in 2005 before making an emotional return to Sevilla in 2024 for one season. He later left the club as a free agent.
