The 24-year-old striker has committed to a five-year deal, keeping him at the club until 2029.
Akor Adams joins compatriots Chidera Ejuke and Kelechi Iheanacho, though reports suggest Iheanacho may leave before the transfer window closes.
Adams arrives at Sevilla following a solid run at Montpellier, where he made 15 appearances this season, contributing three goals and three assists.
He joined the French side in August 2023 after excelling at Norwegian club Lillestrøm SK.
In his debut season in France, Adams quickly made an impact, scoring 10 goals and providing two assists in 33 appearances across all competitions.
Before his move to Montpellier, he began his European journey in 2018 with Norway’s Sogndal IL, transitioning from Jamba Football Academy in Nigeria.
During his time at Sogndal, Adams played 56 matches, scoring 16 goals and adding six assists.
His performances earned him a move to Lillestrøm SK in 2022, where he continued to impress with 11 goals in 33 games and a memorable debut in European competition during a UEFA Conference League qualifier.
Adams’ exceptional form in the summer of 2023, where he scored 17 goals in 17 matches, briefly placed him at the top of the European Golden Shoe rankings and caught Montpellier’s attention.
On the international stage, Adams has represented Nigeria, appearing twice for the U-20 team during the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Poland.
His addition to Sevilla signals the club’s commitment to building a competitive squad with young and talented players.
