Both teams are aiming to secure maximum points from the game as they battle for a place in the knockout stage of the tournament.
Speaking ahead of the encounter, Nana Kwaku Bonsam said he wants to prevent Kane from making an impact for England after the striker scored twice in his country’s opening victory over Croatia.
In an interview with the Daily Star, the self-proclaimed spiritualist said he had carried out similar actions in the past and believes he can influence the outcome of the match.
He said, “I am working on Harry Kane. I have shown what I am capable of before, so I know what work I must do to stop him. I am very famous for my predictions.”
Bonsam added that he was not hoping for Harry Kane to suffer a serious injury but only wanted him to be unable to perform against Ghana.
“I am not wishing him serious injury. It will be just enough to stop him against my country. I will do my work so that it can help Ghana,” he said.
Bonsam says his spiritual powers come from the Kofi Oo Kofi shrine and often describes himself as “Africa’s only Authentic Man.”
The traditional priest previously made similar claims during the 2014 World Cup, when he said he was responsible for the injury problems that affected Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo before Portugal’s match against Ghana.
His latest comments have sparked reactions among football fans, with many treating the claims as part of the mind games and drama that often surround major international tournaments.
